The CMLI is committed to optimal medical-immunological laboratory diagnostics based on evidence and effectiveness, appropriateness, and cost-efficiency. It oversees the training, postgraduate and continuing education of FAMH titleholders in medical immunology (specialist for medical immunological analysis or specialist for laboratory medicine with a focus on medical immunology) in accordance with the guidelines of the FAMH, as well as FMH titleholders with a laboratory focus. Additionally, the CMLI is primarily concerned with quality assurance in medical-immunological laboratory diagnostics.
