FAMH Medical Laboratory Immunology,
Focus on Immunology

The postgraduate training to become a specialist in laboratory medicine FAMH is a part-time, four-year training program in the field of laboratory diagnostics. It covers the disciplines of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Medical Immunology, Medical Microbiology, and Medical Genetics. The training is structured into a three-year monodisciplinary education in one of these fields (major subject), as well as a one-year training (12 months) in the basic diagnostics of another discipline (minor subject).

Alternatively, a purely monodisciplinary four-year training in the major subject can also be completed. This can be complemented by activities in clinical practice or in relevant research fields.

Further information about the FAMH postgraduate training can be found here.
